November 2008: Water Expo China

Water Expo China 2008 was held 10-13 November in Beijing. Israel national pavilion – the biggest booth among all exhibitors in the fair, has drawn the most attention of the event. Israeli Ambassador to China as well as officials from the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Labor, Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute attended the event. 10 leading Israeli water companies participated in the fair and displayed the advanced technologies and solutions in the water sector developed by Israel. Apart from the fair itself, a one-day event entitled "Israel Day" was also held as part of the parallel China International Water Summit. This event includes the Sino-Israel technical exchange seminar at which Israeli companies gave presentations on subjects such as water creation and treatment, water management, water saving and water safety. Israeli water companies also met with Chinese counterparts at the pre-arranged one-to-ne business talks. A round-table discussion between Israeli water companies and Beijing Water Authority was also held.
