Oct - Nov 2007: Chinese delegation visit WATEC Israel

On 30 October to 1 November 2007, the Israel Water Technologies and Environmental Control Exhibition and Conference – WATEC Israel 2007 was successfully held at the Israel Trade Fairs & Convention Center in Tel-Aviv, Israel.  16 delegations with representatives from over 15 provinces and municipalities in China visited the exhibition.  Besides, a special professional seminar was organized for all the Chinese delegations.  H.E. Mr. Hu Siyi, Vice Minister of Ministry of Water Resources of China headed an official delegation to the event.  He participated in the seminar and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.  Also present at the opening ceremony of the seminar were: Mr. Zhao Jun, Chinese Ambassador to Israel, and high-ranking officials from relevant Israeli Ministries.  Israeli officials, experts and representatives of enterprises in the water-related field were invited to give presentations, with topics such as key success factors in water treatment and safety, advanced practices in managing water resources and saving water and irrigation technologies in Israel. Altogether some 30000 visitors participated in the exhibition which presented advanced technological solutions in the fields such as desalination, water treatment, water-saving, AMR and water safety.
